Why We Started
Catapult Engineering was started because its founders wanted to do systems integration better.
Between them they had worked for many companies, in many countries, over decades. They had seen the right ways — and the wrong ways — to engineer and deliver industrial automation projects for heavy industry. They had watched sound projects held back by process that served the integrator rather than the asset, by design decisions taken for commercial convenience rather than operational sense, and by teams who were gone the moment handover was signed.
Catapult exists to break free of the limitations that impede success in the systems integration space, and to be relentless about the engineering processes that actually produce the best outcome for the client. That is the whole idea, and everything below follows from it.
How We Work

Pragmatic, Not Dogmatic
We work closely with asset owners and operators to improve performance and reliability and to reduce operational risk. The right answer is the one that suits the plant and the people running it.
Genuinely Vendor Agnostic
We do not resell anybody’s hardware, so we have nothing to push. We specify what the asset needs, and we are equally happy working on the platform you already run.
Senior Engineers, On The Job
We are boutique on purpose. The people who scope your project are the people who deliver it, and they are still reachable after handover.
Prove It Before Site
Control programs are fully simulated and tested before anyone travels to site, so commissioning is short and predictable. We do not leave that to chance.
